To apply for a Domicile Certificate (Local Residence) through the WB e-District portal, ensure you have the following documents:

How Do I Get a Domicile Certificate in West Bengal?

To log in to the WB e-District portal to apply for a Domicile Certificate, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • STEP 1: Click on the heading of west Bengal e-district on the website – https://edistrict.wb.gov.in/ .
  • STEP 2: You will be brought to the login page by just clicking on the “Login” button located on the right top part of the site screen. This West Bengal e-District Portal Login facility enables the citizens of West Bengal to do their official work online.
  • STEP 3: Ladies and gentlemen, please enter your username and password.
  • STEP 4: Insert the captcha code as required and press the button ‘Login’.
  • STEP 5: Under the “Services” list choose the service “Domicile Certificate.”
  • STEP 6: You need to complete the application form, and attach some papers online.
  • STEP 7: Please submit the required application fee (if any) and make your application online.

What Papers Do You Possess?

There are various post services in west bengal e-district, which need different documents. Here are the documents required for two of the services:

To obtain a Domicile Certificate (Local Residence) through the WB e-District portal, one needs to submit the following documents:

  • Proof of identity (any of the following): Voter id card, PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport, driving license along with any other government id as proof of identity.
  • Proof of residence (any one of the following): Voter ID card, electricity bill, telephone bill, property tax receipt or any other photo ID or any act which is more than 3 months old and contains the address of the applicant.

To obtain an Income Certificate through the WB E District portal, one needs to submit the following documents:

  • Proof of income: Copy of salary pay slip, copy of income tax return statement, or any other document with applicants’ income endorsed by the government.
  • Proof of identity (any of the following): Government issued photo identity card, such as, Voter ID, Passport, Driving license–including learners’ license, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card.
  • Passport-size photographs: Passport size photographs taken within the last month.

How to Obtain an Income Certificate Through Online in West Bengal?

To obtain an Income Certificate through the WB E District portal, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official WB E District portal at https://edistrict.wb.gov.in/edistrict_wb/ .
  2. Using the homepage, locate the “Citizen Login” option and click it.
  3. To open the portal, you are required to input your username and password.
  4. After you login, in the “Department Services”, choose “Revenue”.
  5. Select income certificate on the options that are displayed on the screen concerning the services offered.
  6. Credit application form needs to be completed with personal data, income details and address details.
  7. Scan and post all the relevant documents such as proof of income, identification and passport photographs.
  8. Submit entered documents and check the details entered.
  9. Make the necessary payment online through the available means of payment.
  10. After filling the information, click on submit to allow the application process to finish.

To login to the E-District West Bengal portal as a citizen, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official WB E-District portal at https:>//edistrict.wb.gov.in/edistrict_wb/ .
  2. Citizen login option is usually displayed on the homepage of the website and when clicked directs the user to the login page.
  3. In the prompted username and password fields, please, enter your username and password.
  4. Enter the code in the verification box.
  5. On the main page you will find a button called “Sign In” – click it to enter the portal.
  6. Upon login you will be able to find various services that the E-District West Bengal has to offer.

How to Reset e-District WB Password?

  1. Visit the official WB E-District portal at https://edistrict.wb.gov.in/edistrict_wb/ .
  2. Select the option that says “Citizen Login” whenever you open the homepage of the portal.
  3. This link can be located on the login page, to make the necessary change, click on the ‘forgot password’ link.
  4. Write down the registered mobile number you use at SM and then click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  5. You will be sent an OTP (One Time Password) on your mobile number registered with us.
  6. To proceed you have to type the OTP received in the field provided below and then click the button labeled “Submit”.
  7. A new password should be set by following the instructions displayed at the screen.

How to Reset e-District WB Username?

If you are among the users, who need to reset e-District WB username, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the official WB E-District portal at https:land at http://edistrict.wb.gov.in/edistrict_wb/
  2. On the homepage, this choice is called “Citizen Login”.
  3. At the login page, you are supposed to look for a link that says that you do not remember your username.
  4. Type the mobile number which you had registered during sign up and then click on the “Submit” button.
